Zenfolio | Forgotten Isle | Jurby Airfield

Jurby airfield opened in September 1939 and covers a vast amount of land. It was used by the Royal Air Force as a training base during World War II. Many of the buildings are now in use (Jurby Junk Shop, storage, flying training, etc). The site has two runways and the main control tower is occasionally used by training flyers, however there are a large number of buildings that still remain empty since the closure in 1972.
