It would seem that this property was abandoned sometime in the 1980’s, probably due to a fire which has damaged the upstairs, although the fire seemed to mainly damage only two rooms, the one where it originated and the room below. The rear of the house was flooded, and there are two staircases to access different upstairs areas. The first one, although damaged, was usable with care, however the second staircase had collapsed, making exploring that particular upstairs area impossible.

Other than the entry point I used, every other window and door was boarded making the entire house pitch dark without a flashlight.

The name of the house ‘Ballona’ in Manx means ‘glen farm’.
