I remember going here as a kid, it used to be open to the public, but has in recent years been completely bricked off with an 8 - 9ft wall. Although the church itself is still very much in use, there is no public access to the cemetery behind. Most of the grave stones are large slabs lying on the ground, so unfortunately a lot of them are now covered with undergrowth, due to the abandonment.
The cemetery only appears to have been used between 1845 - 1866. It is locally thought that the cemetery was used as surplus to bury the bodies of those taken by an outbreak of cholera.
